It took a bit more than 100 years for Stockholm to get some truly great burger joints, but since the burger hype started a couple of years ago it is a must for every part of the city to have a great burger joint.
In Gamla Stan, Barrels Burgers & Beer is the flagship burger joint.
The original burger is simply called No. 1 and is served with Dijon mustard, ketchup, white onion and cheddar cheese.
A lot of different stories surround the origin of the burger, but as a tribute to the original burger, Barrels Burgers & Beers serve an early style burgers called “The Original,” which is basically a plain cheeseburger between two slices of toast.
The chairs area, yes you guessed it, barrels and the tables are wooden and has a nice rustic feeling.

"Problemen" från Gamla Stan, med dåliga pommes och Fritz-cola (🤢) istället för Coca-Cola, kvarstår och drar ned betyget minst ett snäpp.
När det kommer till hamburgaren så testade jag en ny, på rekommendation av servitrisen, som faktiskt hade bearnaise på.
Tyvärr missade jag att burgaren inte hade ost på, vilket var en bummer för mig.
